Zōkinzuri


Zōkinzuri (雑巾擦り) – a thin trim-like strip of wood or composite, used in the same way as floor and ceiling trim, but for large shelves. The common cross sectional dimensions for zōkinzuri is 10 by 15 millimeters, and is most commonly used for shelving inside closets and “monoire’s” but is also used as floor and ceiling trim – habaki and mawaribuchi, respectively – in some isolated instances.
