Zoukinzuri – a thin trim-like strip of wood or composite, used in the same way as floor and ceiling trim, but for large shelves. The common cross sectional dimensions for zoukinzuri is 9 or 10 by 12 to 15 millimeters, and is most commonly used for shelving inside closets and “monoire’s” but is also used as floor and ceiling trim – habaki and mawaribuchi, respectively – in some isolated instances.
