Tategu/Waku (建具/æž ) – n – all interior fittings and frames that have anything to do with doors or entrance-ways. The tategu is the door itself, while waku means the frame. Tategu-waku come in 2 general types — those that are installed before drywalling, and those that are installed after. All things considered, tategu-waku that is installed after drywalling is less labor-intensive.
