Bunjou (分譲) – to divide up, as in plots of land for sale (分譲地; bunjouchi). As in the previous sentence, bunjou is often followed by a suffix, such as 分譲住宅 bunjou-juutaku, which refers to the plot of land plus the house on it as a set for sale. The image below shows a typical bunjouchi you might see here in Japan, where plots of land are delineated either for sale as is or to be built on for sale as a set with a house.
